Padded Underwire Bra w/ MAXIMUM Cleavage!

This padded, underwired bra was looks basic on the outside but as with many things in life, its all about the details!

My very petite client had Pectus Excavatum and wanted a bra that could maximize her cleavage. Boosting cleavage also had the bonus of minimizing the space between the breasts and sternum.

We were very pleased to see our first muslin fit quite well as-is. That said, we decided to raise the height under the arms despite the bra fitting well to further encourage tissues forward. This is a technique I picked up after examining my favorite Asian Bras and their cleavage enhancing designs. [Link HERE]

After our second well-fitting muslin, we decided that the ability to ‘cinch’ the center gore to further increase cleavage would be fun and functional.

All that remained was to sew up the final bra in foam. In this regard, I had to think about how to layer the foam in a way that capitalized on cleavage enhancing padding without the thick edges that multiple layer usually entail. Thinking back to how I made breast forms for my dress form, I decided to do a Russian Nesting Doll technique. Each layer was a bit smaller than the last and zig zagged around the edges for a smooth edge - one layer at a time. This ensured that the bulk of the padding is one unit and would stay put through multiple washing as well as only have one edge where the stitches are visible. I managed to get 4 layers of foam built into the cup and then additional 4 layers via the removable padding.
